Curated in Bogota, the artisans who made these earrings do exquisite replicas of jewels and artifacts that are exhibited in Bogota's famous (and very worthwhile) Gold Museum. They are all inspired by different pre-columbian cultures and all are made by Colombian hands.

*The additional image isof the pre-columbian city, LaCiudad Perdida. It is an archaeological site of an ancient city in Colombia's Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta. It is believed to have been founded about 800 CE, some 650 years earlier than Machu Picchu. This location is also known as "Teyuna." I did a 4 day trek to "The Lost City" during my last trip to Colombia to experience its majesty for myself. It took 1200 ancient stair steps to get up to the city even after a 2 day trek!
